Is this the Plane http://www.flairmodels.co.uk/Aircraft/V ... rs/Cub.htm an the engine you ordered http://www.oomodel.com/asp-sanye-2-stro ... p-314.html

If that is the engine it`s to small .99cc. That plane can take a .35 ci (5.9 cc+/-) to a .40 ci (6.4cc) engine. A .46 - .50 sized engine will also fit where the .40 sit`s plus give you little more power. other brands of engines will also work. Here`s a example http://www.justengines.co.uk/acatalog/ASP.html scroll down some to find the ones that fit. also a size chart lower down. good luck. Fox

PS you can also checkout the 4 cycles that fit also,.35 to .52 4 cycle http://www.justengines.co.uk/acatalog/A ... troke.html
4 cycles weigh little more the the 2 cycle

As Foxbait1 says, a 0.061cu-in engine (1cc) is *way* too small for that 72" cub -- it would barely taxi let alone fly.

As the instructions on the cub say - you need a much larger engine (.46cu in -- around 8cc).

A much better engine would be the ASP46 or ASP52 -- I think HobbyKing has the cheapest price for these engines (when they're in stock).

What size plane ?????

Postby debandy » Wed Oct 12, 2011 6:17 am

Hi
If you have read my post I have bought the wrong size engine, http://www.oomodel.com/asp-sanye-2-stro ... p-314.html
If for what ever reason they will not exchange the engine for a larger one, what size plane would this engine be O.K. for.
I only paid £ 28.00 for the engine so luckily I am not ££££££ out of pocket.
Lol I promise I will check in future before I purches anything like this again.
