I'm wondering how effective the hobbyking charge sacks are.I use a small one to charge the pack, and the large one to take packs to the field.
I store my li-po packs in a steel tin(ex-bus drivers cash tin:))
I've not had problems or anything, just want to know how useful fibreglass actually is as a protective cover.
Are there sacks available made of anything better? Please share your opinions, good or bad.

Hi Quarry,

Like the idea of your tin box, not keen on the lipo bags the only way to check if they are truly fire resistant is to burn them.
I store my Li-po's in a besser block on a concrete floor and my charge station is handy, I just have to be carefull if the missus hangs the washing over the top
The li-po bags do not stop magic smoke and once they have been used in anger  not much good. Your tin box would just need a new coat of paint, try lining it with a domestic fire blanket, cut to size. 1mx1m will cost AUD20 and will give enough for more than one event :D
