9x for 40 bucks?

Problems, experiences or just something to say about RC gear? Say it here.

That's strange, I had mine, admittedly with some other stuff included, sent by registered air mail to Oz, not EMS. As the quote from my HobbyKing order page shows...

Shipment International (Registered) Air Mail 1.5kg $23.59

Whoa :) hope they still have it in stock next month, wonder why they would sell it for so cheap all of a sudden?

Good find, thanks! I will prefer Hobbyking over some random site Iv never used before. (not that I know if its a good or bad place to buy or anything)

I couldn't help myself. My present 9x will have a brother soon. Now let the mods begin to put all sort of contraptions on this tx. In particular sliders, a third stick perhaps?

How difficult is it to change mode?

It is ridiculously easy. I'll do a video if anyone wants one but I think there are already videos on the Net that show how to do it.

You simply swap the friction strap and the centering spring and arm between left and right sticks.

I'm just about to pull the trigger on one of these as a second tx- is the Flysky radio protocol ok or is it worth swapping to Frsky and their spendier (is that a word?) rxs?

My main tx is an 8FG, but I'm not carrying that around in my van on a daily basis.

The FlySky is fine -- so long as you don't need/want failsafe.

The 8-channel FlySky receiver is pretty bulky for what it is but the 6-channel is quite compact.

I have converted my 9X radios to FrSky but some of the guys in our club fly them with the standard RF section in their electric and (up to .46) nitro planes.

I certainly wouldn't use the stock RF for a gas plane though.

Thanks. I've just revived a dead JR X347, so I'll get a Frsky module for that instead.
