Frsky DIY Module

I installed the Frsky DIY mod into a Turnigy 9x with the battery mod.What I was wondering was do I need to install the diode inline with the PPM signal to protect the module? I figured with the battery mod I would not need to. Any thoughts on this ?(Bruce?)Or, possibly if the module came from Frsky with the diode installed do I need to remove it?

No, just leave the diode in there. The voltages on the circuit board remain the same, even with the 2-cell modification.
