I'm looking @ HK for the best std. servos I can get for my 9x & new glow trainer in the $9-13 each range. I see lotsa options, mostly in Cornona, HK and Turnigy, but several of them are labeled "heli servo", like this one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... 14sec.html

Now some of the 'heli' ones have only two mounting screws, which I assume is pretty 'heli-specific'...but the one I link to has 4 screws, and it seems like a great overall servo.

So the question, of course, is what makes a servo 'heli'? Does that usually apply to 'better' (faster, more precise, etc) servos because helos need better servos? If that's the case, I'm sure they're great for planes too. But is there something else I'm missing...would, for example, the servo I link to above be a good plane servo?

Heli servos should be precise and fast, especially the tail rotor servo which is constantly working with the gyro to maintain heading. A poor servo here could burn out from constant work. There are a lot of linkages in heli's and a good servo cuts down on slop and delay.
