I removed the cover and had a look inside,
Other than a different method used in a couple of connections on the board they look the same, the numbers on the componets match the numbers on the other RXs I have opened up,
Bound it to a program and the binding process worked, pluged esc, motor, and x3 servos in and they all worked,
Done range test and same distance as other RXs that I have tried,
Rebind time is about 1.4 seconds

There is a photo of the inside of the fake RX,
I am happy with the way it works, aas far as performance it works as good as an other spektrum AR6100e RX that I have.

I'd be a bit worried about that big fat electrolytic being mounted in that way if I were going to use this receiver on an aircraft with any amount of vibration but apart from that it looks okay.

My only concern is if it's got additional support (over and above the two wires that are soldered to the PCB).

I've seen a number of products in the past where manufacturers have simply left caps supported by their leads and eventually, they break. Here's an example

I for one have placed an order for the 3 x Orange receivers to use in a small epp foamy's. If you ask me Spektrum have shot themselves in the foot, if they had priced their receivers more affordably I would have bought them but apprx $99.00 for an AR6100 is a RIP OFF!!!! Had they have been $30.00 I would have had no hesitation to buy at this price.

It always appears to me that the manufacturer goes for the jugular, rather than looking for a long term relationship with their customers. If the Hobby King receivers work out why would I buy anything else.

Good bye Spektrum one day you might learn your lesson!!!!!

Jason of HK is telling in product discussion that HK will introduce soon low cost clone receivers compatible with Futaba.
Finally, what we have been waiting is happening. It is good for us consumers.
Big brand monopoly will be broken.
