Control V911 Heli (flysky) with Hitec Optic 6

If you've been building electronic bits or modifying stuff you've bought then tell us all about it here. A good place to discuss the installation of 2.4GHz DIY modules too.

Control V911 Heli (flysky) with Hitec Optic 6

Postby sudmanche » Sun Oct 13, 2013 11:16 am

Hi, I am trying to work out whether it would be possible to convert a Flysky module to work with an Optic 6 to be able to control a V911 micro heli.
The issues.
1. The module is a JR style, so would need re-casing.
2. Possibly needs a pull up/down resistor from reading around.
3. Channel order may be different from JR/FS to Hitec

Has anyone managed this, or do I have no chance because of issue 3?

any help greatfully received!

Once you find out which pin is what on the JR style FlysKy module its easy to connect ppm,V+ and ground via the DIN-6 trainer socket, no need to re-case the FlySky module as you can just velcro it like the AnyLink system. I use a similar set-up on my Eclipse-7 and Futaba radios with a FlyDream DIY module in a small project box. Here is a picture of what it looks like
PS my file is too big to unload(sorry)
