Is the Frsky FASST receiver compatible with FrSKy(V8JTor V8FT) transmitter modules.
Since they both use frequency shifting and are both Frsky I am hoping that there may be a slight chance but I am not holding my breath.

1) Any idea on the cost for a receiver?

2) Do you believe it will be compatible with the FUTABA 6EX 2.4GHz FASST transmitter?

I have an opportunity to by a transmitter cheap... but it does not have a receiver or any extras.

I don't believe the FASST receiver is compatible with the existing FrSky modules but looking at the preliminary manual I get the feeling that they may be making their own FASST-compatible modules soon.

Perhaps this is a product-fork for FrSky -- those who want telemetry will go with the existing FrSky module/receivers and those who want Futaba-compatibility will go with the FASST-compatible ones -- but I don't know for sure.

Since it operates in 7-channel and 8-channel modes I see no reason why it wouldn't work with the 6EX 2.4.

How is this for hopefully thinking, maybe it is research to have a all in one tx module. One tx module that works with all rx's...

Ok dream mode off. ;-)

Very nice and informative review. This will be my default receiver from now on. One question. Did you find a PPM pulse on the receiver? Would be great for the DIY / Quad fliers.

Didn't see one but I haven't finished looking yet ;-) I'll let you know if I find one.

Bruce,
Since it works in 8 channel mode, does this mean it is 2048 resolution (given the right transmitter) in that mode?

It will be interesting if FrSky brings out a FASST transmitter module. Hobbico sells one in the US for JR transmitters, but they want almost $190 US for it without a receiver!! Not Futaba branded, even on the PCB's inside!

question? will this reciever bind with the european market Faast radios such as the Futaba FX-30? i recently bought an FX-30 from europe with a 2.4ghz tm-14 module but i found out that it does not bind with us market Fasst receivers.
