Turnigy Radio Upgrade

Any more info about the Turnigy radio upgrade on the main page. I've checked back over the past few weeks and haven't seen anything. Did I miss it?

There is already some info on here how to do it, along with the page Ereza made with his version of the firmware-ER9X. If you google that you will get his page, and there is instructions in there on how to do it. Not overly hard, just nerve racking soldering to something like that. I put some pictures on the topic in here for it that will help if you do it.

I gather Bruce is a busy boy, hence why it hasn't been put up yet

Yep, I'm editing as fast as my crusty old PC will go. Unfortunately, video edits are *really* slow with this machine and while it's rendering video it's almost unusable for anything else -- like image-editing and formatting up webpages :-(

Thanks for the quick replies.

I'm really looking forward to the video.

Keep up the great work.

I'm sorry about your slow machine. There is a workaround to 'fix' that problem. You can lower the priority of the process of the task in the process explorer (control + alt + Supr) if you are in a windows Xp/Vista/7 enviroment. This way you can use your computer for your use.
There is a good info in disco stu's thread too.

No matter how fast a computer you have video encoding is going to slow it to a crawl.

Best to have a second computer and a KVM switch to switch back and forth. I actually have 4 machines running that way because I just can't stand waiting!

Hi Bruce,
In eager anticipation of your article / video I have bought a Turnigy 9x, a smart USB light AVR programmer, and downloaded various software drivers. I am poised ready to go, my breath is totally baited, I have dragged out my old xp laptop.
Any idea when you will be able to publish?
Regards,
Bill
Compromising with out of control government is like living with a lion, sooner or later the bloody thing will eat you .

You accept the tyranny of the state when it's not being applied to you, when it is: it's too late.

If you've got the radio and the programmer, sounds like you're in pole position to do your own review!
