Power Supply Troubles

Postby james_h » Tue Jul 05, 2011 10:18 am

G'day guys,

I got myself a power supply to power my turnigy charger. Wired all it all up correctly. Black & green together to power on. Yellow 12V & Black Earth to power up the charger. All good so far right!!! fires up & powers up the turnigy charger but here is the problem! As soon as I try to charge with it the power supply shuts itself down?????

Any ideas on what could be the problem guys????

Older computer power supplies need a load on the +5 Volt output to regulate the voltage.
Try a automotive light bulb like an 1156 or 1157 on the 5V

I put a light bulb onto the 5 volt output which I took off my camper trailers tail lights. fired her up ok but same result when I tried to start charging with the charger. It just shuts itself back down each time I try :(
