er9x conversion

If you've been building electronic bits or modifying stuff you've bought then tell us all about it here. A good place to discuss the installation of 2.4GHz DIY modules too.

Hi all,I got the little programmer from flea bay,and it arrived complete with a cable.I bought 2 female connectors and a piece of rainbow cable.:

I know that I will use only 6 of the 10 strands of the rainbow cable. But since I'm not using the type of connector shown in Jon Lowe's tutorial, can anyone tell me which colour wire goes to which pin on the 10 pin female connector, which I will fit in the tx.Here's a close up of the cable end (male),and the connector I bought:

The female connector is the same as the one on the programmer board.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction.thnx.

This link has the connections and useful information for the programming.

You should be able to connect using the 10 pin diagram.
The pad for SCK will be in the right place if you have the V2 which you probably have.

Bill

Rats!Fudge!Baby hippos!
My er9x install has ground to a screeching halt.I'm using the eePe program.
When trying to read the eeprom from the turnigy tx,I get this message:
Error loading file D:/DOCUME~1/hans/LOCALS~1/Temp.temp.hex;
File may be corrupted ,old or from a different system
WHA??????.
I re-checked all wiring and connections, seem to be ok.The green led on the usbasp programmer lights up,and the tx beeps it's low voltage warning. The tx starting screen also comes on.
I plugged the USB extension cable into an unpowered hub,as I read somewhere that may help.Nope.
Have I cooked something in the tx already?
Should I have done any setup on the tx before starting?
Anyone have any ideas at all?
Thanks.Hans

Ha,after a bit of fiddling,I realised that if you don't have any models listed on the V2 firmware, there's not going to be anything to read from!I therefore passed by that step, and went straight to the er9x flashing.success.I now have er9x installed.Whoo-hoo.
Now to read the manual.
