battery extension question?

Postby francoishaha » Fri Nov 18, 2011 4:12 am

My battery wire is too short to get the right GC.

i made an extension with 14 gauge wire, (using 12volts battery) with 2 EC3 connectors,
the extension is 4 inch long. will this affect any thing on the esc or on the receiver?

I read somewhere that it's best to keep the battery leads short and make the motor leads longer if needed. I don't remember where I read this. I also found, from experience, that it is best to keep the ESC as far away from the receiver as possible.

Castle Creations has a good article about the technical aspects of extensions.

I found this posting elsewhere on the site. It has a lead to another site which gives a lot of information on this issue.
